Windsurfing: Poole harbour Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: f7-9 Surf / Sea State: Choppy Air Temperature: 11c Sea Temperature: Not bad Weather: overcast Max Speed: Distance Covered:
I was woken by the noise of the wind at 6.30 this morning (joy) so it was
an early start.
Arrived at Poole at 9.30 the wind had arrived as promised (double joy).
Rigged up my 4.2 Rock and was punished for 3 and a half hours, the wind was
very gusty I found the best way was to pick your moment to start and get
secure before a big gust, if I managed to get hooked in and into the straps
before being wiped out it was controllable, towards the end of the session
things seem to be coming together. Packed up when cramp set in.
Hats off to Tushingham, the sail was tested by multiple catapult and came
out unscratched
Would have given 5 stars if it was sunny and I claimed those gybes’.
